it’s been soooo long since i last wrote anything on my wordpress… Don’t seem to have any motivation to do so. It has been weeks since I came back from China. I love that place, especially 大连. Some of the photos are up on my facebook and I’m still trying to find time to edit the video. I managed to capture a video shot of the unity among Chinese nationals when the earthquake struck Sichuan province. You can never experience the unity like that in Singapore.
Everyone is asking if I’m looking for a job. My answer: NO. My SAP course starts next week and I’m pretty busy now trying to brush up my Chinese. I have been telling people that one of my goal in life is to be able to read a Chinese newspaper. Up till today, I have yet to achieve that goal but I am getting there soon. I see myself improving with the help of my wonderful Hui Yee and also with the help of this website: http://www.mandarintools.com/worddict.html
Oh yeah… The EURO cup fever starts today! I am sooo GLAD that England is not in this tournament. I do not understand why we have so many England fans in Singapore. I have NEVER liked the England team nor any English soccer players. Talking about soccer, the Singapore 2010 Goal is a crappy goal. Everyone knows that SINGAPORE WILL NEVER MAKE IT TO THE WORLD CUP AT LEAST FOR ANOTHER HALF CENTURY! Yes… I should be supporting my own country’s soccer team but just look at how un-professional our players are. When I was in China, I remembered speaking to this cab driver about their soccer team. I told them that their team was good to be able to qualify for the World Cup finals, unlike Singapore. His response? He said that he would rather not have China to qualify as their performance was disgraceful and he felt disgusted. I was quite surprised. Shouldn’t they be glad that they managed to qualify for the world cup? That brings my point back to Singapore’s goal of qualifying for the world cup. For me, if Singapore were to qualify for the world cup finals, I would not feel disgusted even if Brazil beats Singapore 100-0. I would feel proud that we qualified. BUT… … the point is, when will we qualify? Maybe my grandson will see it.
